Whilst I was exploring the learning path, I came across an article about Why Teachers Need to Plan Lessons. During the article, I read that it is important not to plan specific lessons too far in advance. The article explains that teachers need to be aware of the students diverse needs or any future problems which may arise. It suggests that as the lessons progress, the teacher becomes aware of any particular areas they need to focus on. This made me reflect and research this theory. I found this article which outlines the the common mistakes when creating lesson plans. Also, after participating in Professional Experience it is evident that you do need to be flexible and able to adjust your lessons if required because sometimes you finish earlier than expected and are able to progress to the next lesson or sometimes it takes longer for the students to grasp the concept and they may need additional learning experiences to explore. Another factor to consider as a future educator.
